Helen Bourch, Miniaturist Artist
— Serving Craftsmanship Excellence and Luxury Brands

Helen Bourch is a French miniature artist and painter, founder of the FIGURART workshop in Compiègne in 2021. Recognized as a Master Craftswoman and a member of the Ateliers d'Art de France (French Art Workshops), she has established herself as one of the few French artists whose miniature works—scenographic theaters, architectural dioramas, and hand-painted figurines—are now featured in The Frick Collection in New York, the Palais Garnier in Paris, and in the creations of the most discerning luxury brands. Each piece is entirely handcrafted in her Compiègne workshop, in keeping with the traditions of French fine craftsmanship.

"Every house has a soul. My job is to fit it in the palm of your hand." — Helen Bourch

A Journey at the Intersection of Art, Design and Miniature

Helen Bourch is a painter and miniaturist of Belarusian origin, French by adoption, whose career illustrates a rare convergence between classical training, international sensibility and roots in the French artisanal tradition.

A graduate in applied arts and design from Belarusian State University in Minsk, Helen Bourch developed an early fascination for small-scale representation: miniatures as a language, as a synthesis, as a technical and artistic challenge. It is this passion that led her to develop the art of hand-painted figurines and miniature theaters—two disciplines that demand absolute mastery of technique and detail.

Based in Compiègne, a historic city with French traditions famous for its figurine museum, Helen Bourch founded the FIGURART workshop in 2021 with her husband Benjamin, a sculptor — recognized as one of the last places in France where the entire process of creating figurines and miniatures takes place according to traditional and artisanal methods.
