A miniature collector's theatre inspired by the Queen's Theatre , a Rococo jewel that Marie Antoinette had installed at the Petit Trianon in Versailles. Created by Helen Bourch, a miniature painter, and assembled in our workshops in Compiègne, it recreates the horseshoe-shaped architecture and the blue and gold palette of the original stage. A hand-finished workshop edition, signed and delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
Inspiration
Marie Antoinette's theatre is inspired by the private theatre she had built at the Petit Trianon in Versailles, a discreet setting where the queen entertained with music and plays. We have transposed its atmosphere, architecture, and colours to the scale of the collection. The detailed history of the monument can be found on our page dedicated to the Queen's Theatre at Versailles.
The artist's hand
Each miniature theater is an exclusive creation by Helen Bourch, a miniature artist and artisan. She first designs and paints the scenery before printing it onto wood and enhancing each piece individually: a touch of color on faux marble, a glint of light on a molding, a depth that no single print can capture. The assembly is done by hand at the FIGURART workshop in Compiègne. What you hold is not a mere reproduction, but the hallmark of true French craftsmanship.
